Njord Medtech® has received a grant for an international expansion project. The project will start in August this year and is expected to run until April next year. Njord will receive a grant of two hundred thousand SEK during the course of the project from Medtech4Health via Vinnova, a government agency in Sweden that administers state funding for innovative research and development.
The project aims to establish a first commercial analysis to enter the UK&I market with NHS and its ~1,000 hospitals as well as to create a regulatory gap analysis for Switzerland, USA, and UK&I. Atle® 180, a new generation patient transfer solution, already meets requirements of the Regulation (EU) 2017/745 (MDR) but is yet to be compliant with markets outside of the European union.
Medtech4Health strive to increase the number and quality of new innovative products and services within medtech. In collaboration with patients, healthcare, academia, and business, we contribute to increasing value for people affected by disease in their everyday lives. Medtech4Health is funded by the Swedish government through the Swedish innovation authority Vinnova, Swedish Energy Agency and Swedish Research Council for Sustainable Development Formas, and by the programme’s partners.
